1000 libérations au compteur, trois déclarations importantes. L'IVCC n'est pas la SEP. L'IVCC est un problème de valve, pas de sténose. Il faudrait opérer les malades aussi vite que possible.
This week in London and in Barrie, Dr. Micheal Arata MD, Dr. Bill Code MD and Dr. Teri Jaklin ND came together in two public information sessions to expand on the evolution of CCSVI, to discuss benefits and potential outcomes, and to encourage supportive measures for people living with MS to proactively improve quality of life pre-,post or even without CCSVI treatment.
A strong message from all three doctors is that CCSVI/JVH is NOT MS. It is not a cure and it is not permission to disregard good general health practices. And while clearly associated with MS it is potentially also associated with other health conditions.
To-date the focus has been largely on ballooning stenoses in the veins. Based on over 1,000 patients treated in their California clinic, Dr. Arata refines that theory and offers JVH or Jugular Venous Hypertension as an inciting factor of MS/CCSVI. While increasingly the valves are becoming the focus of this treatment. Dr. Arata’s message is clear “this is not a narrow vein disorder” it is “all about the valve.”
Speaking from his professional expertise in brain injury and recovery, B.C. Dr. Bill Code elaborated on the future of CCSVI and its role in various neurodegenerative and cognitive disorders. He explained the theory in understandable terms and addressed gains that may be provided by treatment. Dr. Code advocates people with MS be treated for CCSVI/JVH, “the sooner the better.”
Both Dr Code and Dr Jaklin have been diagnosed with MS and have been successfully treated for CCSVI/JVH. Both have a personal commitment to healthy diet and lifestyle as vital components of overall disease management.
Dr. Jaklin, an Ontario-based naturopathic doctor, explained the underlying inflammatory process of chronic illness in general and specific to MS. She elaborated on mechanisms and the new understanding of inflammatory pathways and introduced both nutritional and lifestyle adjustments to reduce inflammation and help regulate disease. Dr. Jaklin promotes creating a heath care team that serves you in managing your MS and together with Dr. Code advocates taking control of your healthcare in the process of recovery.
